The Jeep brand is preparing to launch its first global battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and expand its SUV lineup.

The all-electric premium Jeep Wagoneer S will be sold in the U.S. in the fall of 2024 and then in key markets worldwide.

The Jeep Wagoneer S offers:

  • Standard 4xe capability with all-terrain management.
  • A 600 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of around 3.5 seconds.

The Future of Driving with BEV Platforms

The new Jeep Wagoneer S is part of the Jeep brand’s ongoing global electrification initiative that transforms 4xe into the new 4x4 in pursuit of the brand’s vision of accomplishing Zero Emission Freedom.

The plan fully supports the net zero carbon emissions targets set by Stellantis during the Dare Forward 2030 long-term strategic plan.

According to Stellantis, its plan involves serving various vehicle segments and ranges by using four BEV-centric vehicle platforms – STLA Small, Medium, Large, and Frame.

The strategy includes three electric drive modules for enhanced modularity and performance and two battery cell chemistries to ensure affordability across the board.

These combinations are designed to provide industry-leading features, driving ranges from 300 to 500 miles, and propulsion options including front-wheel-drive, rear-wheel-drive, and all-wheel-drive.
