The National Safety Council (NSC) announced on Dec. 20 that José Samperio has been appointed to the NSC Board of Directors.

Samperio is vice president and general manager for Cummins North America On-Highway business and has nearly 20 years of experience at Cummins across various fields.

A Look at José Samperio's Career

Samperio began his career as a product engineer before working in the field as a service engineer and in distribution service shop operations. He has spent time in Beijing, China, launching new products, and later was a general manager for Cummins Power Systems in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Before entering his current role, Samperio was the engine business strategy leader, where he was involved in helping craft the long-term vision for Cummins' powertrain business. He has also served on several transportation boards and advisory councils throughout his career.
