Renault India has launched an all-new version of its best-selling 2022 KWID with advanced features a starting price of INR 4.49 Lakhs (just under US $6,000).

The entry-level hatchback introduces a new RXL (O) model alongside the base RXE and mid-spec RXL models. Available engines include 0.8L and 1.0L SCe powertrains with manual and automatic transmission options. The 0.8L boasts 22.25 KM/L fuel efficiency, the best in that engine segment based on the Indian government’s testing certification, according to the automaker.

The 2022 KWID offers active and passive safety features, including dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, seat belt reminder, overspeed alert, reverse parking sensors.  Driver side pyro and pre-tensioner with load limiter are standard across all models.

The KWID’s eight-inch touchscreen MediaNAV system offers Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, video playback and voice recognition.

First launched in 2015, the KWID has sold more than 4 million units in India. Renault India is increasing its network reach in the country, adding more than 150 facilities in the last two years. Its presence today includes 530 sales and more than 530 service touchpoints.
