Ford Recalls F-150 Vehicles for Seatbelt Issue
Ford is recalling an estimated 16,430 2021 F-150 Super Cab vehicles because the front seatbelt webbing may be incorrectly routed.

Ford Motor Company is recalling an estimated 16,430 2021 F-150 Super Cab vehicles manufactured with the Super Cab body because the front seatbelt webbing may be incorrectly routed.
A misrouted seatbelt can be hazardous, as it may not adequately restrain an occupant in a collision, increasing the likelihood of injury.
Ford notes that the Regular Cab and Crew Cab body styles of the 2021 F-150 use a different seat belt assembly and are not part of this recall.
For those with Super Cab bodies, the automaker advises owners to perform a preliminary self-inspection of the front seatbelts. If the passenger-side seatbelt fails inspection, owners should not use the passenger seat until the repair is performed. Conversely, if the driver-side seatbelt fails inspection, owners should not drive their vehicle until the repair is performed.
To fix the problem, dealers will inspect the front seatbelts and, if the webbing is misrouted, will replace the seatbelt retractor and pretensioner, at no cost to customers.
Owner notification letters will be mailed Sept. 27, 2021. Owners can reach Ford customer service at (866) 436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 21C20.
