Arval has announced Damien Pellissier will serve as the company’s new international procurement director, effective Feb. 1, 2021.
In the capacity of procurement director at Arval, with the role of supervising the company’s strategic sourcing at an international scale, Pellissier reports to François-Xavier Castille, Arval managing director, International. Pellissier replaces Andonis Papagiannakopoulos, who has recently been appointed GM of Arval in Greece.
Pellissier has most recently served as the regional general manager of Arval Benelux and South Europe, directly supervising six Arval entities, including Belgium, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Morocco, and Portugal.
Pellissier joined Arval in 1991, and has held several positions during his tenure. He was first in charge of launching the agency in Lyon, France before taking the position as head of international development in 1999. He was later appointed director of the Arval French Retail Network, then head of Eastern Europe at Arval, and then director of the Small & Medium Enterprises business line.
“As the new procurement director of Arval, Damien will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in the Arval Beyond development plan,” said Castille. “He will concentrate on overseeing Arval’s sourcing, an essential mission at a time when the company’s business is evolving from car leasing to also include sustainable mobility. I am fully confident that Damien’s outstanding management skills and deep knowledge of our business will be key to making his career within Arval Procurement a success.”
