The first-generation Chevrolet Volt (2011-2015 model years) will soon give way to a new generation of the plug-in electric hybrid that's expected to increase the nameplate's electric range to 53 miles from 40 miles. The Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel, the only diesel offering in the Jeep lineup, is powered by a 3.0-liter V-6 diesel engine that's different that the one powering the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel.
