Ford Motor Co. held a ride-and-drive event to give fleet managers, dealers, and upfitters a total immersion into the new 2016 F-650/F-750 trucks

The 2016 Ford F-650 and F-750 will be assembled in Avon Lake, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland.

Attendees participated in a debrief at the end of each day, providing another opportunity for direct interface with program and engineering management.

Participants of the medium-duty immersion event were taken on a tour of the Ohio Assembly plant where the trucks will be built.

The F-750 with the 6.7L Power Stroke V-8 Turbo Diesel was compared with a 2015 model to demonstrate a cab that is up to 45 percent quieter than the outgoing diesel model.

Ford also displayed one of the lowboy trailers that will be shipping trucks out of the plant to dealers and upfitters. This new system will improve order-to-delivery time as well as remove the need to piggy-back trucks for delivery.

Ford displayed a variety of vehicles, including the F-750 Tonka Mighty Diesel, whch has been touring the country and making regular appearances at children’s hospitals and museums.
