With a record crowd, attendees at the combined 2022 Fleet Forward and Fleet Safety Conference convened in Santa Clara, California, to discuss electrification, vehicle data, new technologies, and safety best practices, as well as network and get hands-on at the event's vehicle showcase.

The following charts include data that looks at the age of drivers involved in crashes; accidents by weather type; accident percentages by time of day; accidents by day of week; and the top five accident descriptions.

Presenters at the 2019 Fleet Safety Conference covered topics such as the importance of executive buy-in when implementing fleet safety policies, the importance of data in fleet safety, and emerging trends.

Fleet safety experts addressed the latest trends, including how to develop a corporate safety culture, negligent entrustment avoidance, identifying at-risk drivers, and fatigued driving at the third annual fleet safety seminar hosted by The CEI Group on Nov. 13.

The Fleet Safety Conference was held Oct. 29-21 at the M Resort in Las Vegas. With an attendance of more than 220 fleet managers, EHSW and HR professionals, and other fleet safety stakeholders, the conference provided attendees with ways to make fleet operations safer and more efficient.

The 2017 Fleet Safety Conference opened Tuesday with a keynote from the National Safety Council's Deborah Hersman, who also spoke on Monday at an NTSB-NSC roundtable about advanced driver assistance systems. Safety awards were given at a luncheon. The second day of the conference featured a session from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security - TSA regarding security threats against transportation fleets.
