Wright Express Employees Honored for Their Patriotic Efforts
On Wednesday, July 10, John H. Bubar, brigadier general of Maine Air National Guard in Augusta, visited Wright Express to present two employees with awards honoring their dedicated assistance to the U.S. National Guard and Reserve. Honorees Charlie Hawes and Jill Coale received the accolades in recognition of their willing support of acceptance of Wright Express employee military obligations with the National Guard. Nominating employee was Maine Air National Guard Reservist Jeff Lane. Guard and Reserve members comprise over 50 percent of U.S. defense forces. The "My Boss Is a Patriot" award was instituted by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a national organization formed to promote greater understanding between employers and on-call military members whose services are continually on the rise. South Portland-based Wright Express is a provider of fleet charge cards to businesses and government agencies. It also provides information management, payment processing, and financial services to fleets through card relationships.
