SAN FRANCISCO - The Barber/Thomason National Fleet Department has appointed Mike Williams to their fleet team as business development manager. Williams will be heading up a new business development team with several initiatives: upgrading the company’s current business systems and processes; enhancing its position in the industry by moving the company’s business platform to a Web-based customer information portal; and increasing its client base and customer service in both new and used fleet sales. Williams has more than 20 years of fleet experience in the rental car and manufacturer side of the fleet industry.
Prior to Barber/Thomason, Williams began his career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and was with them for 15 years in various high level capacities in remarketing and fleet acquisitions. In 2003, he joined Kia Motors America, becoming the national manager of fleet. At Kia, Williams used his knowledge of the rental industry to help grow Kia’s fleet business as well as streamline their business processes. In 2006, he moved to Fox Rent A Car as VP of fleet and remarketing.
