Wheels, Inc. has begun offering an app version of its FleetView fleet management portal to help fleet managers stay on top of key tasks in their fleet operations even when out of the office, the Des Plaines, Ill.-based fleet management company has announced.
"FleetView is our clients central resource for everything they need to know about their fleet," said Dan Belknap, director of product management. "Now with FleetView Mobile, they have that knowledge in the palm of their hand."
The company has integrated features from its online portal FleetView that best translate to a mobile app. Using biometric login technology, users have the ability to conduct a vehicle and driver search; approve maintenance and collision repairs; and view alerts on activities that require action.
"Combining our mobile development experience with feedback from our user research, we were able to quickly develop, test and introduce a new productivity enhancing tool to our clients," said Sara Lisy, senior product manager. "We are constantly evaluating new ways to support our clients and their businesses."
FleetView Mobile joins the Wheels Mobile Assistant, an app designed to optimize driver productivity. FleetView Mobile is available for Apple iPhone and Android devices.
