Programming Concepts, Inc. (PCI) announced on August 5 the introduction of its Internet-based vehicle remarketing system (webVRS). WebVRS is an automotive inventory database system with automated Internet auction services. The system is entirely web-based. This means that companies log onto their webVRS account over the Internet and use the system as if it was physically located on site. There is no longer a need to purchase computer equipment, hire maintenance personnel, and deal with all of the other associated costs of having a system on site. For more information, go to: www.webVRS.com. WebVRS feature summary: * Complete automotive database * Auction site integration * Online condition reports * Consignment tracking services * Publish inventory on the Web * Eliminate owning and maintaining your own system * Comprehensive reports * Integrated VIN decoder * Online pickup notices * Vehicle sale reconciliation, and a lot more... WebVRS was developed for Eastern Fleet Remarketing (EFR) by PCI. The companies have joined forces to provide the system to the vehicle remarketing business community as a hosted solution. The system has been in operation at EFR for over 6 months with outstanding results. Kevin McGrath, president of EFR, claims that the system “has brought a new level of efficiency in moving vehicles through the entire sales cycle with a dramatic decrease in overhead.” McGrath further states that, “The system has paid for itself in the first few months of operation.”
