HOUSTON, Texas --- Waste Management Inc., the nation's largest trash collector, and the Linde Group, a major provider of natural gas, have unveiled plans to build a plant to purify and liquefy landfill gas for use as truck fuel.
Waste Management plans to use the biofuel to help power its truck fleet, the Sacramento Bee newspaper reported. The plant is planned for the company's site in Altamont, Calif., and is expected to open next year.
