VW's 2015 e-Golf to Arrive in Q4
Volkswagen's e-Golf plug-in electric compact car will arrive at dealer lots in the fourth quarter of 2014 as the automaker's first fully electric vehicle offered in the U.S.

Volkswagen's e-Golf plug-in electric compact car will arrive at dealer lots in the fourth quarter of 2014 as the automaker's first fully electric vehicle offered in the U.S.
The 2015 model-year e-Golf hatchback, which was introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show, uses a lithium-ion battery to power its 115 horsepower motor that generates 199 lb.-ft. of torque. The e-Golf has a range of 70 to 90 miles per charge.
The zero-emission vehicle features a fast-charging technology that allows a user to obtain an 80 percent battery charge in 30 minutes, according to the automaker. Pricing has not been announced.
Volkswagen is also developing wireless electric charging technology that could be offered on 2017 model-year vehicles.
