VW Recalls Golf, Audi A3 for Head Restraints
Volkswagen Group of America is recalling an estimated 169 2018 Volkswagen e-Golf and Golf R compact cars, as well as Audi A3 and RS3 entry luxury sedans because the rear seat frame head restraints may be improperly welded to the seat frame.

Volkswagen Group of America is recalling an estimated 169 2018 Volkswagen e-Golf and Golf R compact cars, as well as Audi A3 and RS3 entry luxury sedans because the rear seat frame head restraints may be improperly welded to the seat frame.
With this scenario, the rear head restraints my offer reduced stability in the event of a crash, increasing the likelihood of injury.
To fix the problem, Volkswagen and Audi will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the guide sleeves for incorrect welds, replacing the rear seat frame, if needed, at no cost to owners.
