BALTIMORE – Veolia Transportation is adding more than 50 propane-powered cabs to its Checker and Yellow Cab fleets in Baltimore and using its own propane fueling station to fuel the vehicles.
BALTIMORE – Veolia Transportation is adding more than 50 propane-powered cabs to its Checker and Yellow Cab fleets. Veolia is using its own propane fueling station to fuel the vehicles. The company worked through the Department of Energy funded Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program, a project of Virginia Clean Cities.
The propane taxi fleet is being highlighted as a Clean Cities Success Story on the MotorWeek program. Produced by Maryland Public Television, the short segment aired on PBS stations nationwide July 7.
