U.S. Bank Voyager Announces Greater Control Over Fleet Card Transactions

HOUSTON - U.S. Bank Voyager Fleet Systems Inc., a provider of universal fleet fueling and maintenance cards, announced the release of enhanced purchase controls within the Voyager Fleet Commander Online System. These enhancements, within the authorization system, give fleet administrators more tools to enforce company purchasing policy without impeding normal fleet card transaction activity.
New controls found in Voyager Fleet Commander Online, include time-of-day and day-of-week transaction restrictions; single purchase transactions; and dollar-based limits, all of which can be assigned to an individual driver, vehicle and/or card.
Previously, fleet transaction limits, set by the fleet administrator, were based on daily or monthly maximum transaction/spend restrictions. Now, fleet administrators have greater flexibility to manage fleet card restrictions across multiple vehicles or drivers and work shifts.
"Fleet managers must continually look for ways to control and manage fleet transactions, as well as reduce unauthorized activities," said Jeffrey A.
Rankin, senior sales and marketing officer, U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Systems. "These latest enhancements from Voyager Fleet Commander Online deliver exactly what our clients have been asking for - an authorization system that sets tighter controls on all fleet cards transactions. This allows fleet managers to determine how, and more importantly, when fleet cards will be used based on daily, weekly, monthly or even hourly pre-set restrictions."
Voyager Fleet Commander Online is an Internet-based account management software that allows fleet administrators to observe, update, track and manage fleet operations and Voyager Fleet Card accounts. With Fleet Commander Online, fleet administrators can customize the controls and features necessary to effectively manage their fleet operations.
