A truck carrying Takata air bag inflators and propellants exploded in Texas earlier this month, killing one woman and injuring four others, according to Reuters.
Reuters cited local media reports that the fatal explosion occurred Aug. 22 and destroyed a home. The truck, operated by a subcontractor, was on its way to a Takata facility in Eagle Pass, Texas, when it was involved in a crash that sparked the explosion. The Eagle Pass plant stocks air bag inflators manufactured at a facility across the Mexican border in Monclova, Coahuila.
