Bennett International Group has named Tony Eiermann its vice president of fleet management. Earlier in his career, Eiermann spent more than six years in various fleet management roles for Coca-Cola.
Eiermann, who started in November, will manage a mixed fleet of about 2,800 pieces of heavy hauling equipment, which includes Class 8 trucks, trailers, and some light-duty vehicles. The company uses specialized equipment, including a 19-axle trailer that's more than 100 feet long.
Bennett transports large, bulky items such as roller coaster parts, rockets, jet fuselages, and sections of bridges. The company is based in McDonough, Ga.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to be part of a great company like Bennett," Eiermann said. "Bennett has a very diverse fleet portfolio and I am looking forward to using my skills from my past to create a great future for Bennett and myself."
Eiermann previously served as the director of emerging business at Hydrauliska Industri AB (Haib), a Swedish manufacturer of loader cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, and liftgates. Prior to that, he worked as a customer support director for Hiab-owned Waltco Lift Corp. from 2015 to 2017.
He left Coca-Cola in June of 2015, after more than four years as the North America fleet asset manager and more than two years as the senior procurement specialist for fleet. He started at the beverage company in November 2001.
