TRALA Elects Kress as 2004-2005 Chairman
Carmenita Leasing President Jerry Kress of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., was unanimously chosen 2004-2005 chairman by the members of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) at the organization’s recent 2004 Annual Meeting Phoenix.
ALEXANDRA, VA – Carmenita Leasing President Jerry Kress of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., was unanimously chosen 2004-2005 chairman by the members of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) at the organization’s recent 2004 Annual Meeting Phoenix. Kress, the association’s 27th chairman, challenged the association to work with TRALA’s leadership as they continue to expand programs and services to the membership. The TRALA Board of Directors also elected the following officers: First vice chairman, Mark Siegal, president of Edart NationaLease in Hartford, Conn.; Second vice chairman, Robert Shingle, president of PRIMMS LP in Oak Brook, Ill; Secretary, Steven Lawrence, president of Lawrence NationaLease in Red Wing, Minn.; Treasurer, Frank E. Walter, president of Palmer Leasing Group in Indianapolis, Ind.; and Immediate past chairman, Terry Young, president Advantage Truck Leasing in Charlotte, N.C. The following members were elected to the association’s 2004-2007 board of directors: Duane Johnson, general manager of Inland Kenworth in Surrey, British Columbia; Tracy Leinbach, chief financial officer of Ryder System Inc. in Miami, Fla.; Gerald Riordan, president of Budget Truck Rental in Denver, Colo.; Alan Serfas, assistant vice president of Enterprise Rent-A-Truck in St. Louis, Mo.; Robert Shingle, president of PRIMMS Inc. in Oak Brook, Ill.; Charles Sommer, president of Public Service Truck Renting Inc. in Long Island City, N.Y.; and Bert Wise, president of Mack Lease of Omaha, Neb. To fill a vacancy on the 2003-2006 board, the members elected Thomas Brown, president of Brown NationaLease in Des Moines, Iowa. The following members are appointed directors for 2004-2005: Michael Breeden, executive director of national accounts for Cummins Inc. in Columbus, Ind.; Doug Clark, president of AmeriQuest Transportation and Logistics Resources in Cherry Hill, N.J.; Terry Dubowick, director of Mack Leasing System Inc. in Allentown, Penn.; John Grainger, president of NationaLease in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.; Mark Lampert, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Freightliner Trucks in Portland, Ore.; David Renz, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Eaton Corporation in Kalamazoo, Mich.; and Bob Southern, president of PACCAR Leasing Company in Bellevue, Washington.
