ALEXANDRA, VA – Carmenita Leasing President Jerry Kress of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., was unanimously chosen 2004-2005 chairman by the members of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) at the organization’s recent 2004 Annual Meeting Phoenix. Kress, the association’s 27th chairman, challenged the association to work with TRALA’s leadership as they continue to expand programs and services to the membership. The TRALA Board of Directors also elected the following officers: First vice chairman, Mark Siegal, president of Edart NationaLease in Hartford, Conn.; Second vice chairman, Robert Shingle, president of PRIMMS LP in Oak Brook, Ill; Secretary, Steven Lawrence, president of Lawrence NationaLease in Red Wing, Minn.; Treasurer, Frank E. Walter, president of Palmer Leasing Group in Indianapolis, Ind.; and Immediate past chairman, Terry Young, president Advantage Truck Leasing in Charlotte, N.C. The following members were elected to the association’s 2004-2007 board of directors: Duane Johnson, general manager of Inland Kenworth in Surrey, British Columbia; Tracy Leinbach, chief financial officer of Ryder System Inc. in Miami, Fla.; Gerald Riordan, president of Budget Truck Rental in Denver, Colo.; Alan Serfas, assistant vice president of Enterprise Rent-A-Truck in St. Louis, Mo.; Robert Shingle, president of PRIMMS Inc. in Oak Brook, Ill.; Charles Sommer, president of Public Service Truck Renting Inc. in Long Island City, N.Y.; and Bert Wise, president of Mack Lease of Omaha, Neb. To fill a vacancy on the 2003-2006 board, the members elected Thomas Brown, president of Brown NationaLease in Des Moines, Iowa.
