Toyota Recalls 20K Vehicles for Fire Risk
Certain 2014 model-year Avalon, Camry, Highlander, Sienna and 2015-MY Lexus RX vehicles equipped with the 2GR-FE engine are at risk for fuel leaks because of a supplier welding problem.

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. announced plans to recall approximately 20,000 2014 model-year Avalon, Camry, Highlander, Sienna and 2015-MY Lexus RX vehicles equipped with the 2GR-FE engine.
In these vehicles, the end cap on the right-hand fuel delivery pipe in the engine compartment could have been insufficiently welded by a supplier during manufacturing. In this condition, fuel might leak from the fuel delivery pipe and pose a fire risk.
Toyota, however, said it’s unaware of any fires, crashes, injuries or fatalities already linked to this condition.
To resolve the issue, Toyota and Lexus dealers will inspect the fuel delivery pipe and, if needed, replace it with a new one.
