Toyota Recalls 2015 Camry for Power Steering
The recall, which covers about 110,000 vehicles, also affects 2015 Highlander and 2014-2015 RAV4 SUVs.

Toyota is recalling approximately 110,000 2015 model-year Camry, Camry Hybrid, Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles, along with 2014-2015-MY RAV4 SUVs, so dealers can repair a circuit board for electric power steering.
This circuit board may have been damaged during its manufacturing process, Toyota said in a released statement. As a result, a driver might experience loss of power steering assist while the vehicle is in operation. If this occurs, an instrument panel warning lamp will come on and steering at low vehicle speeds will require greater effort. Manual steering, however, would be maintained.
To remedy the problem, Toyota dealers will inspect the steering column assembly and replace the power steering electronic control unit if it falls within the affected range.
Additionally, Toyota is recalling 2,500 2012-2014-MY RAV4 EVs to fix a software-related shifting problem. Components in the electric vehicle traction motor assembly, which is part of the propulsion system, may cause the vehicle to shift to neutral because of a software issue. This condition will also trigger a “Check EV System” warning message on the instrument panel and turn on a malfunction indicator lamp, Toyota said. If the vehicle shifts to neutral, drive power will be completely lost.
To resolve this issue, dealers will repair the electric vehicle traction motor assembly.
