CONCORD, MASS. -  TomTom, the world’s leading provider of location and navigation solutions, today releases two new remote control devices for TomTom LINK designed to help fleet managers save administrative costs and improve efficiency. The new Remote LINK Working Time device enables businesses to track the working hours of every employee in the field. The new Remote LINK Logbook provides an accurate record of work-related and personal mileage.

“The TomTom LINK system makes it easy for fleet managers to track and trace their company vehicles”

The new Remote LINK Working Time and Remote LINK Logbook products are deployed as part of customizable TomTom WORKsmart fleet management systems, which enable fleets to better manage their mobile workers and vehicles. WORKsmart™ is TomTom’s ready to use fleet management solution and an innovative way for improving the management of all types of commercial fleets. It offers customers a choice of industry leading solutions combined with a high quality professional service.

"The TomTom LINK system makes it easy for fleet managers to track and trace their company vehicles," said Michael Geffroy, vice president, TomTom Business Solutions. "By adding Remote LINK devices to their WORKsmart fleet management systems, managers can gather valuable data about their employees' working hours and mileage, which they can use to boost productivity, increase efficiency and save money."

The Remote LINK Working Time offers business insight into employee activity on the road and also transforms employee productivity by removing the need for manual timesheets. Designed as an easy-to-use remote control, it enables each employee to identify themselves and record their working status by 'clicking' their ID key to the remote. This information is sent automatically back to the office through the TomTom LINK. Using TomTom's web-based reporting tool, managers can run reports on when employees started, paused and stopped work.

The Remote LINK Logbook is designed to boost efficiency on the road and in the office. Employees can easily register each trip as work-related, a commute, or personal travel to ensure accurate reporting for fleet vehicle usage. Individual and group mileage can be monitored by day, week, month or year, and all data can be integrated with payroll and billing systems for smarter, faster calculations and payments.

Availability and pricing
The Remote LINK Working Time and Remote LINK Logbook devices are available now. The recommended retail price is $99 for each device and $49 for 10 ID keys to use with the Working Time device.
