“Proactive communication with customers and compliance with appointment ETA windows is one of the most important indicators of success for field service businesses,” said Harvey Shovers, president of MSI Data. “By integrating TomTom’s WEBFLEET service with Service Pro, we are pleased to provide a single solution for addressing this issue for the field service marketplace.”

A recent TomTom survey showed that 66 percent of service customers expect a maximum of two hours for service delivery windows, and 74 percent say that late arrivals or missed appointments can be a reason for losing business.

“For service businesses delivering on your promises is key,” said Matt Curtis, software alliance manager for TomTom Business Solutions. “With a focus on getting the right technician to the right place quickly and safely, this integrated approach is a win for everyone. We are excited to work with the Service Pro team to help organizations become more efficient with a comprehensive field service management offering for service technicians and vehicle fleets.”

By adding TomTom WEBFLEET functionality and Service Pro’s integrated solution users can more accurately dispatch the driver based on actual travel time data calculated in real-time by TomTom. Sending the ‘fastest to arrive’ over the nearest to the destination is an innovative way of dispatching that helps businesses meet customer ETA expectations.

More than 19,000 companies worldwide rely on TomTom fleet management to monitor and manage the activities of their vehicles and mobile operations.
