Tesla Partners with Conn. EV Charging Installer
Tesla Motors has selected Connecticut-based CT Electric Car as one of its electric vehicle (EV) charging installers in the state.

Tesla Motors has selected Connecticut-based CT Electric Car as one of its electric vehicle (EV) charging installers in the state. CT Electric Car installs EV charging stations for both residential and commercial use.
A legislative proposal allowing Tesla to sell vehicles directly to Connecticut customers recently died in the state Senate, although the automaker plans to revisit the proposal next year if it is not resurrected by the state General Assembly, Autoblog reported.
Nearly 500 of the more than 1,600 EVs registered in Connecticut are Tesla vehicles, according to CT Electric Car.
Connecticut currently offers cash rebates of up to $3,000 for the purchase or lease of eligible battery-electric, fuel cell, and plug-in hybrid vehicles. In addition, Connecticut was one of eight states that entered a 2013 agreement vowing to increase the number of zero-emission vehicles in the U.S. to 3.3 million by 2025.
