Telogis Maximizes Vehicle Reliability, Reduces Maintenance Cost with Launch of Fleet Management Alerts
ALISO VIEJO, CA - Telematics enhancement Fleet Management Alerts provide essential information on key engine components. The technology captures these maintenance events by monitoring a vehicle’s odometer and engine hours.

ALISO VIEJO, CA - Telogis, Inc., the platform for location intelligence, launches Fleet Management Alerts for its Telogis Fleet platform, providing critical maintenance and utilization information on a fleet's vehicles. The alerts are generated based on a variety of sensor data including odometer, engine hours, and battery voltage.
The module enables fleet maintenance managers to receive configurable automated alert emails on a range of parameters, including: battery status, oil change, tire rotation, tune up, over temperature, and PTO utilization. The technology captures these maintenance events by monitoring a vehicle's odometer and engine hours, without needing to leave the control room.
The new features compliment an already robust maintenance module with full reporting and real time alerting capabilities. The Telogis Fleet maintenance module is completely customizable with vehicle specific scheduling and maintenance activity logging.
Fleet Management Alerts track readings from several components relating to a vehicle's operation, providing instant, accurate information on its status. The alerts inform fleet managers if any kind of maintenance is necessary. The module also gauges the actual number of hours that an engine has been running since its last service, allowing customers to perform maintenance in a timely manner and avoid taking vehicles off the road prematurely. By keeping a well-maintained fleet, organizations can mitigate against repair costs and reduce fuel consumption. This cuts both emissions and fuel expense.
"Every hour that a vehicle is sitting in the maintenance bay instead of being on the road represents lost revenue for its operator," said Jason Koch, president of Telogis' Telogis Fleet Division. "Organizations that use Telogis Fleet's Fleet Management Alerts can reduce this downtime by proactively identifying potential issues with their vehicles, and also ensure that maintenance is only performed on those vehicles that require it. In addition, Fleet Management Alerts provide accurate information on factors that could render a vehicle inoperable, allowing a manager to dispatch replacements immediately, thereby reducing downtime and improving customer service."
Fleet Management Alerts is available within the Pro and Enterprise editions of the Telogis Fleet platform. For pricing details, please contact Telogis' sales team at info@telogis.com or 866-TELOGIS (866-835-6447).
