Subaru of America is recalling 54 2017-model year Legacy and Outback vehicles because the knee guard bracket may not be properly attached to the steering beam assembly, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
As a result, if the driver isn’t wearing a seat belt, the knee guard may not properly restrain the driver’s lower body during a crash. This condition raises the risk of injury, NHTSA said.
