Among the growing list of commercial truck service provides, BestDrive, Goodyear Truck Care Centers, and Repair Smith are working to stay open and keep essential fleets running. 

BestDrive

BestDrive, a commercial tire dealer and retreader focusing on Continental tire offerings, is open with standard operating hours during the COVID-19 pandemic as an essential partner for critical transportation needs.

BestDrive will continue retread production operations, consistent with the “critical manufacturing” element specified by DHS. Increased retread demand is a natural result of many BestDrive customers increasing the frequency of deliveries to grocery stores, pharmacies, healthcare facilities, and other critical areas.

BestDrive also provides emergency roadside service for fleets in need of immediate assistance. During normal business hours, drivers should contact the nearest BestDrive location.

Goodyear Truck Care Centers

To help keep fleets on the road to deliver needed products like medical supplies and groceries, Goodyear Truck Care Centers remain open and are offering free Department of Transportation inspections, a value up to $120.

These government-mandated inspections include a full review of the tractor and trailer, including brake systems, tires and wheels, exhaust systems, lighting, and more.

Additionally, in states that have issued “stay-at-home” or similar non-essential business closure orders in response to the pandemic, Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers locations nationwide are expected to remain open to meet critical tire and service needs.

RepairSmith

RepairSmith announced the launch of on-site fleet service with ASE-certified mechanics delivering diagnostics, repair, maintenance, tire service and state-regulated inspections (including BIT) direct to fleets.  

The RepairSmith fleet also includes vehicles specifically equipped to service larger customer fleets. RepairSmith can complete over 85 percent of the work a fleet vehicle may need on-site. For more extensive repairs, such as an engine or transmission rebuild, RepairSmith will arrange for the work to be completed at a certified RepairSmith shop and return the vehicle to the fleet location.
