WASHINGTON – Captain Bart Humble of the Sandy Springs Police Department, which is converting more than 65 fleet vehicles to propane autogas, will be a featured speaker in a webinar from the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC).
Scheduled for Sept. 20, the webinar will feature details on real-life fleets that have made the switch to propane autogas through Alliance AutoGas and the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program (SPADP).
Humble will talk about his experience switching his fleet to propane autogas and working with the Alliance AutoGas team. The Sandy Springs fleet was set to switch a total of 65 cruisers to autogas under the program, and they just recently announced the purchase of 14 additional vehicles that will run on propane.
Humble will be joined by Mark Denton of Alliance AutoGas and Jamison Walker of Virginia Clean Cities (which administers SPADP).
Denton will discuss the key components of a successful autogas program, while Walker will share recent case studies from fleets that transitioned to propane autogas through the program, with conversions and fueling from Alliance AutoGas.
