After a two-year study confirmed a 30% decrease in vehicle accident claims among fleets using GPS Insight Tracking, Amerisure has named the company its telematics solution partner for the Amerisure FleetAlliance program.
GPS Insight Tracking beat several competitive telematics solutions that were tested — delivering the highest reduction in commercial vehicle accident claims.
A provider of commercial insurance, Amerisure’s study included 26 of its clients and over 1,800 vehicles.
Policyholders using GPS Insight Tracking experienced a number of fleet safety improvements. These included significant reductions in unsafe driving incidents (23%), posted speeding events (22%), fixed speed events (30%), hard braking events (20%), and acceleration events (22%).
Telematics solutions can help fleet operators save lives and money. While protecting drivers is goal number one, reducing unnecessary costs is key, too. Fleet vehicle accidents are among the most expensive injury claims for business. The average cost of a loss related to fleet vehicle accidents is about $70,000, which is almost twice the cost of the average workplace injury.
With the support of GPS Insight technology, the Amerisure FleetAlliance Program will provide policyholders with detailed driver insights on minimizing fallout from accidents, reducing out-of-service expenses, lowering at-fault accidents, and decreasing property damage.
