Electric vehicle startup Rivian publicly unveiled two concept vehicles during an event in conjunction with the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, including an electric powered pickup truck, according to Rivian.

The Rivian R1T battery-electric pickup truck features a 147 kW power capacity and will be available with three different batter pack configurations: 105 kWh, 135 kWh, and 180 kWh. Depending on the configuration, it can have a max power output of 562 kW and max torque of 825 lb.-ft.

It can also hold up to five passengers and has a top speed of 125 mph. The different battery configurations also feature different levels of range: 105 kWh has a max range of roughly 230 miles, while the 180 kWh battery can travel up to 400 miles, Rivian said. The R1T has a gross vehicle weight rating of 7,650 pounds, and a payload of roughly 1,763.

The EV pickup starts at $61,500 after federal tax rebates, and the highest-battery-capacity model will be the first version available for delivery starting in late 2020, reports Rivian.

Meanwhile, the R1S EV SUV runs on the same battery-pack configuration, and features a four motor electric AWD powertrain, which is also featured on the R1T. The SUV features a similar power output, torque range, and top speed as the R1T. Both vehicles are on Rivian's skateboard platform, which packages the battery pack, drive units, suspension, braking and thermal system all below the height of the wheel.

The R1S can seat up to seven passengers and has a gross vehicle weight rating of 7,650 pounds and features 1,807 pounds of payload.
