Republic Services Increases Use of Renewable Natural Gas
Republic Services will increase its utilization of renewable natural gas (RNG) fuel over the next five years in order to reduce fleet emissions by an equivalent of roughly 250,000 metric tons of CO2.
Clean Energy signed an agreement with the solid waste collection company to increase its fleet utilization of Clean Energy's Redeem renewable natural gas fuel across 21 states.

Republic Services will increase its utilization of renewable natural gas (RNG) fuel over the next five years in order to reduce fleet emissions by an equivalent of roughly 250,000 metric tons of CO2.
Clean Energy signed an agreement with the solid waste collection company to increase its fleet utilization of Clean Energy's Redeem renewable natural gas fuel across 21 states, according to the companies.
Nationwide, Republic Services operates a fleet of more than 3,000 natural gas vehicles and 43 natural gas fueling stations.
RNG is derived from biogenic methane, or biogas, which is methane generated by the decomposition of organic waste from dairy farms, landfills and wastewater treatment facilities, according to the company.
