The second stage of the dual-stage air bag may not inflate in a severe frontal impact collision, the NHTSA said.
GM will notify vehicle owners of the recall, and dealers will install a new front-passenger air bag free of charge. The vehicles covered by this recall were all manufactured from June 2 though Oct. 17 of this year.
