Propane Autogas Workshop Set for Northeast Ohio
The Earth Day Coalition has scheduled a workshop for fleets about propane autogas that's scheduled for Feb. 24 at Bass Mazda in Elyria, Ohio. The workshop is the second in a series of Fuel for Thought presentations hosted by the Northeast Ohio Clean Cities Coalition.
The Earth Day Coalition has scheduled a workshop for fleets about propane autogas that's scheduled for Feb. 24 at Bass Mazda in Elyria, Ohio. The workshop is the second in a series of Fuel for Thought presentations hosted by the Northeast Ohio Clean Cities Coalition.
The coalistion hosted the first of three Fuel for Thought workshops at Greater Cleveland RTA on Jan. 27.
The workshop highlighted fleet applications of compressed natural gas with presentations from Bill Davis from the National Alternative Fuels Training Center, Marcus Gillette from the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas, and Ace Taxi Owner Devo Bavishi.
Environmental, economic and general benefits of CNG and renewable CNG (rCNG) were presented to local fleet managers, industry representatives and sustainability program managers. Bavishi, who operates a fleet of CNG taxi’s and manages a Clean Energy CNG fueling station, presented on the process of installing a CNG station as well as the benefits and challenges of operating a CNG fleet.
The next workshop will highligh propane fuel, vehicles and infrastructure with presentations from Bill Davis (National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium) and Micheal Taylor from the Propane Education Research Council. The latest information on current funding opportunities, such as the Volkswagen Consent Decree and Partial Settlement and Alternative Fuel Loans, will be discussed.
