Porsche Recalls Macan SUVs for Fire Risk
The recall covers nearly 22,000 Macan S and Macan Turbo luxury compact SUVs in the 2015 and 2016 model years.

Porsche Cars North America is recalling 21,835 2015-2016 model-year Macan S and Macan Turbo luxury crossovers because of potential low-pressure fuel line leaks that pose a fire risk, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
The recall affects Macan S compact SUVs manufactured from March 27, 2014, to Oct. 27 of this year. The Macan Turbo vehicles involved were manufactured from March 5, 2014, to Oct. 27 of this year. These luxury vehicles have a low-pressure fuel line in the engine compartment that may leak, NHTSA said.
To fix the problem, Porsche dealers will install an improved low-pressure fuel line, free of charge. Parts are not currently available, however. The automaker mailed an interim notification to vehicle owners on Nov. 9 and will mail a second notice when parts come in.
