ITASCA, IL – Emkay, Inc. has announced John Pinkley is retiring after 40 years in the fleet industry. Pinkley started his career upon graduating from the University of Baltimore with the U.S. Secret Service as a special agent. He quickly learned his forte was with face-to-face interactions and worked for Gillette as a regional sales manager for three years until starting his career in the fleet industry.

Pinkley joined PHH in 1969 with primary territory as regional sales manager in the Midwest. After 15 years, he went on to work at Allstate Leasing and then D&K Financial/GE Capital before starting with Emkay in 1988.

Pinkley was promoted to area vice president sales for Emkay in 2000. He has achieved numerous accomplishments along his 20-year career at the company, including Employee of the Year and earning Sales Executive of the Year six times. Pinkley earned the Sales Chairman Club status several times throughout his tenure.

Pinkley plans to retire with his wife, two children, and five grandchildren in the Chicago suburb of Naperville.
