SPARKS, MD- PHH Arval announced an enhancement to its mobile application, PHH ConnectSM, which will allow fleet drivers to report mileage through their mobile devices. This upgrade to PHH Connect is the first of several enhancements that increase usability and vehicle productivity.
"The new feature saves driver time and effort when reporting mileage," said Cheryl Middleton, PHH's director in charge of client-facing technology. "Drivers no longer need to log on to their computers or make phone calls to report odometer information, which is necessary for making key vehicle-related decisions. Now they can enter it any time and any where using their BlackBerrys."
PHH Connect, launched in August 2009, is a fleet mobile application giving drivers immediate access to various PHH services, including call centers, help with accidents and maintenance, and now mileage reporting.
The application was developed by PHH's Innovation Center, the only such Research and Development team in the fleet industry. Innovation Center technology experts look for new technologies that will deliver effortless driver and vehicle productivity. They specialize in rapid prototyping and piloting of the next generation of innovative fleet applications.
The mileage reporting feature for PHH Connect is available now in the U.S. and will be available in early February 2010 in Canada.
