PHH Arval announced Aug. 27 that the 100,000th “Data on Demand” fleet management report has been delivered through PHH InterActive, the company’s Internet-based fleet management information system. According to the company, their Data on Demand, a report capability unique to PHH, allows cli-ents to extract customized fleet information from PHH’s comprehensive data warehouse. These re-ports are formatted to meet each client’s needs and specifications, scheduled for automatic delivery to the client or another designee via email, and downloaded into other applications on the client’s PC. According to Mary Stone, director of Information Technologies, “The Data on Demand capability was only implemented in late 1999, so it surprised even us to have 100,000 queries delivered to our clients in such a short timeframe. Our clients have told us that it’s an excellent fleet management tool, helping them automate tasks that just a couple years ago required several days and multiple re-ports to accomplish. The information they request is pushed to them according to their selected schedules. The data is formatted in such a way that it can easily be integrated with other desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel. This portability offers fleet managers the opportunity to graphically display what’s going on with their fleets in a way that other managers in their organiza-tions can immediately grasp.”
