Peterbilt Dealer to Hold South Carolina Natural Gas Truck Forum
GREENSVILLE, SC – The half-day event on July 24 will include speakers from Clean Energy, Cummins, Paccar Leasing, Peterbilt Motors, Pivotal LNG, and Westport Innovations.
GREENSVILLE, SC – The Pete Store, LLC announced plans to hold a Natural Gas Truck Forum July 24 in Greenville, S.C. The Pete Store is an exclusive dealer of Peterbilt trucks, with locations from Maryland to Georgia.
The half-day event will take place at the Embassy Suites Golf Resort & Conference Center and includes speakers from Clean Energy, Cummins, Paccar Leasing, Peterbilt Motors, Pivotal LNG, and Westport Innovations.
“Natural gas has quickly become one of the most compelling technologies in our industry,” said Greg Arscott, general manager for the company’s South Carolina operations. “From our standpoint, the most exciting thing about natural gas is that, financially speaking, it stands on its own two feet. Government assistance is helpful, but certainly not vital to making it viable for a fleet.”
In addition to an expert panel, a Peterbilt tractor equipped with a Westport 15L GX liquefied natural gas (LNG) engine will be on site giving attendees the opportunity to participate in ride-and-drive.
“Because there are several operational considerations a fleet must make before a conversion, we thought it made sense to bring all the key players to the table and have an open discussion about it,” Arscott added.
Companies interested in attending this event can contact Ava Harrington at 864-269-7202.
