Nissan Upgrades Charging on 2012-MY LEAF, Raises Retail Price

RALEIGH, NC – Nissan announced the retail price for its 2012-MY Nissan LEAF will be $35,200 for its SV base model, $2,420 higher than the price for the 2011-MY vehicle. The LEAF SL trim level will be $37,250, $3,530 over the 2011-MY edition retail price.
As part of this announcement, Nissan said the 2012-MY edition will feature a DC fast-charge capability as standard on the SL, which allows the vehicle to be charged at 480V, reducing charge time to less than 30 minutes for an 80-percent charge.
Also, cold-weather features will be standard on LEAF models sold in colder regions of the U.S., including a battery warmer, heated steering wheel, and heated seats in both the front and rear.
