The zero-emission car will be launched in late 2010 in the U.S., Europe and Japan, the Wall Street Journal reported. Nissan said the Leaf will be affordably priced, but the actual price hasn't yet been disclosed.
The Nissan Leaf can travel 100 miles on a full charge and can seat as many as five people. The vehicle's lithium-ion battery pack can be fully recharged at a 200-volt outlet in eight hours, or in less than 30 minutes from a special fast-charge station, Nissan said.
