Nissan discontinued its quirky Juke entry-level crossover after the 2017 model year, and is replacing the vehicle with its 2018 Kicks. Nissan dealers are continuing to sell remaining Juke models, the company has confirmed on its website.

Nissan is offering a pair of subcompact SUVs for 2018, including the Rogue Sport, which is entering its second model year and offers front- or all-wheel-drive (like the Juke), while the Kicks offers front-wheel drive exclusively. The vehicles offer similar exterior styling. The Kicks provides more cargo volume (25.3 cubic feet) compared to the Rogue Sport (22.9 cubic feet).

The Kicks is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 125 horsepower, while the Rogue Sport's 2.0-liter four cylinder makes 141 hp. The 2017 Juke is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder that makes 188 hp.

While the Kicks arrives with a starting MSRP of $17,990, the Rogue Sport retails for at least $21,640. The 2017 Juke's MSRP started at $20,250.

As far as fuel economy, the Kicks provides 31 mpg in city driving and 36 mpg on the highway, while the FWD Rogue Sport provides 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The Juke provided 26 mpg in city driving and 30 mpg on the highway.

Nissan sold 41 Juke models in June compared to 893 in June of 2017, the company has reported.
