Nissan Recalls Infiniti Q50 Sedans for Steering
The recall, expected to get under way by Aug. 9, covers more than 28,000 entry-luxury cars in the 2014-2016 model years.

Nissan North America is recalling 28,182 Infiniti Q50 and Q50 Hybrid sedans in the 2014-2016 model years so dealers can fix a steering system problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The direct adaptive steering system may experience an error at vehicle start-up, altering the steering responsiveness and turning radius, NHTSA said. At issue are Infiniti Q50 sedans manufactured from Dec. 26, 2012, to Dec. 11, 2015, and Q50 Hybrid vehicles manufactured from Dec. 10, 2012, to Dec. 17, 2015.
Nissan dealers will reprogram the direct adaptive steering ECU software, free of charge, to resolve the problem.
The recall is expected to begin by Aug. 9. Vehicle owners can reach Nissan customer service at (800) 647-7261.
