One of the Dunedin City, New Zealand, Council's most senior managers has resigned over the Citifleet fraud investigation. According to evidence provided to the police, 152 fleet vehicles worth NZ$1.5 million were sold over the past decade and the proceeds pocketed, according to a report by Radio New Zealand.
The police action was a result of accounting firm Deloitte investigating the Citifleet and Citipark departments, after the sudden death of long-standing team leader Brent Bachop, according to the report.
