WEST MIFFLIN, PA – U.S. Steel Corp. on Sept. 7 opened a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station at the company’s Irvine Plant in West Mifflin, Pa., to service company fleet vehicles that run on CNG.

U.S. Steel’s fleet of CNG vehicles is used throughout company operations in Pittsburgh as well as in Gary, Ind.
During the commissioning of the new CNG fueling station, U.S. Steel CEO John Surma and Chesapeake Energy Corp. CEO Aubrey McClendon took part in the festivities. The two men filled up a Ford F-350 converted to run on CNG.
