New On-Board Diagnostic System in the Works to Improve Driver Safety
HAUPPAUGE, NY -- Audiovox Electronics Corp. and Sprint's Emerging Solutions Group announced a collaboration to deliver a location-based, on-board diagnostic system that will allow drivers to employ a variety of safety and convenience features.
HAUPPAUGE, NY -- Audiovox Electronics Corp. and Sprint's Emerging Solutions Group announced a collaboration to deliver a location-based, on-board diagnostic system that will allow drivers to employ a variety of safety and convenience features.
The two companies said they have joined forces to leverage Audiovox's aftermarket automotive expertise and Sprint's network services.
Last year, Sprint opened the Sprint M2M Collaboration Center in Burlingame, Calif., an interactive lab that creates wirelessly enabled machine-to-machine concepts and products. Earlier this year, Sprint also introduced the Sprint Command Center, a Web-based portal that gives businesses with Sprint wireless-connected products the ability to manage, activate and de-activate each device.
Audiovox Electronics is a subsidiary of Audiovox Corp., a major supplier of mobile and consumer electronics.
