SAN DIEGO – Networkfleet won the 2008 AeA High Tech Award in the category of communications products and services from the San Diego Council of AeA, a high-tech trade association on Oct. 31 at an AeA awards luncheon, according to Business Wire.
Networkfleet was chosen for its 3500 product line, a wireless fleet management system that remotely monitors the performance and location of fleet vehicles. Networkfleet's patented system reads real-time diagnostics from the vehicle's engine, giving fleet managers the ability to continuously monitor fuel consumption, speed, and emissions status for all of their vehicles. By reducing fuel reduces emissions, fleets using Networkfleet can "go green" while lowering operating expenses.
This year marked the 15th anniversary of the San Diego High Tech Awards. More than 500 technology executives and government officials, including AeA members and non-members, came together to recognize the successes of local technology companies from a diverse set of categories.
