Natural Gas Vehicle Workshop Set for Sept. 22 in Oakland OAKLAND, CA – A one-day workshop, titled “The Compelling Case for Natural Gas Vehicles,” is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Hilton Oakland Airport. The event is geared for public and private fleet operators, as well as clean transportation policy makers. The workshop will address economic and environmental benefits of NGV fleets, and which fleet applications are the best candidates for successful NGV programs. Included will be a review of NGV program economics, addressing how to calculate fuel costs, simple payback and life-cycle savings. NGV fleet operators will share their experiences and tips. There will also be a discussion about available light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty NGV options. The day’s moderator will be Stephen Yborra, director of market analysis, education and communications at the Clean Vehicle Education Foundation.
