Nation’s Fleet Drivers Invited to Certified Safety Training at NASCAR Speedways
The Safety Wins team invites fleet drivers to attend free safe driving training at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C., May 26 and at Dover International Speedway in Dover Del. June 4.
TREVOSE, PA –The Safety Wins team invites fleet drivers to attend free safe driving training at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C., May 26 and at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Del. June 4. The training event features defensive driver education conducted by certified National Safety Council trainers, a session on NASCAR safety by Busch Grand National series race driver Jimmy Kitchens, and a pit tour and tickets to qualifying or practice races. Safety Wins is a cooperative project among the National Safety Council, CEI/DriverCare, Cavalier Home Builders, and NASCAR Busch driver Jimmy Kitchens.The Safety Wins goal is providing classroom training to professional drivers to help reduce the leading cause of work-related death in the United States: motor vehicle crashes. The Safety Wins program is made possible by the Susan Harwood Training Program through the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The program takes an innovative and positive reinforcement approach to awareness and education by holding safety training at NASCAR venues.
