NAAA & CAR Conferences to be Jointly Held in 2010
LAS VEGAS – NAAA's 2010 Spring Business & Quad Zone Meeting and the 2010 Conference of Automotive Remarketing will be jointly held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, March 3-4.
LAS VEGAS – The National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) and Bobit Business Media (BBM) will combine their spring conferences next year. NAAA's 2010 Spring Business & Quad Zone Meeting and the 2010 Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR) will be jointly held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, March 3-4, 2010.
"This is major development for the auto remarketing industry," said NAAA President Bob McConkey, noting that it makes good business sense. "Much of the training and education is common across the industry. Providing a single gathering place will increase communication and enhance the sharing of information while reducing the number of meetings that people attend each year. It would be hard to find a better fit and it ties in perfectly with our initiative to promote strategic cooperation in the industry for greater success."
Ed Bobit, BBM chairman, agreed. "With sufficient time for planning and development, CAR 2010 promises to deliver a significantly greater return on investment for both groups and all attendees," he said. "Expansion of CAR coincides with the many changes and new developments in the automotive remarketing industry and points to an exciting event in Las Vegas next spring. I hope everyone can participate."
Frank Hackett, NAAA executive director, added that his association is pleased to join with CAR and its co-sponsor, the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA). "It's a classic case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts because all three groups will be able to maintain their identities while giving their respective members a much more valuable meetings experience," he explained. "This will also produce dramatic savings in transportation, conference and hotel registration fees, and time away from the office at a time when we are all watching our budgets."
"NAAA combined with CAR and IARA will elevate professional development and networking opportunities," NAAA President-elect Dave Angelicchio said. "We are combining the strength of three well-known organizations, with excellent leadership and staff. Ed Bobit and CAR have a great history and reputation in the industry and we're very excited to be part of this group. This meeting will become the standard by which all other meetings in our industry are measured."
